Julie D. Taylor is personally involved with all Taylor & Company clients. She focuses specifically on image management, strategic media planning, and media relations.

Taylor brings expertise and experience as a design industry publicist, marketer, writer, editor, and critic to her practice of public relations and marketing. Prior to establishing Taylor & Company, she was the Director of Public Relations and Communications at Pacific Design Center.
 
Taylor is a long-time editorial veteran, with a variety of publishing credits, including senior editor positions at design and marketing publications in New York City.

She is currently the editor of the Society of Architectural Historians News/Southern California Chapter. Taylor is the author of the books Outdoor Rooms (1999), a best-seller for the publisher, and Bars, Pubs, & Cafés (2000), and co-author of Spa: The Sensuous Experience (2006).

 

 

 

Taylor is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she received a B.A. in art history. She has been a guest speaker on the marketing of design services for UCLA Graduate School of Architecture, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles and Las Vegas Chapters, SCI-Arc, and NeoCon West. She is a member of the LA Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, AIA Los Angeles Chapter, AIA California Council, the Decorative Arts Council of the LA County Museum of Art, and the Society of Architectural Historians/Southern California Chapter. Taylor is on the Design Awards Committee for the AIA Los Angeles Chapter, and on the Steering Committee for Canstruction LA.
