Julie D. Taylor, Hon. AIA/LA, is personally involved with all Taylor & Company clients. She focuses specifically on image management, strategic media planning, and media relations.

Taylor brings expertise and experience as a design industry publicist, marketer, writer, editor, and critic to her practice of public relations and marketing. Prior to establishing Taylor & Company, she was the Director of Public Relations and Communications at Pacific Design Center.
 
In 2007, Taylor was granted Honorary AIA/LA status for her service to the chapter. She is also the recipienct of a 2012 AIA California Council Allied Achievement Honor Award for her "design evangelism."

Taylor is a long-time editorial veteran, with a variety of publishing credits, including senior editor positions at design and marketing publications in New York City.

She is currently the editor of the Society of Architectural Historians News/Southern California Chapter. Taylor is the author of the books Outdoor Rooms (1999), a best-seller for the publisher, and Bars, Pubs, & Cafés (2000), and co-author of Spa: The Sensuous Experience (2006).

 

 

 

Taylor is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she received a B.A. in art history. She has been a guest speaker on the marketing of design services for UCLA Graduate School of Architecture, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles and Las Vegas Chapters, SCI-Arc, and NeoCon West. She is a member of the LA Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, AIA Los Angeles Chapter, AIA California Council, the Decorative Arts Council of the LA County Museum of Art, and the Society of Architectural Historians/Southern California Chapter. Taylor is a past-chair of the Design Awards Committee for the AIA Los Angeles Chapter, and on the Steering Committee for Canstruction LA.

   
 
Courtney DeMesme-Anders
Assistant Account Executive

Courtney DeMesme-Anders is involved in developing and implementing the media plans for all Taylor & Company clients. She focuses specifically on pitching client stories to all media, the writing of releases and pitches, social media programs, and packaging of projects for the media.

DeMesme-Anders melds her traditional and new-media marketing background with her lifelong passion for architecture and interior design. She also has vast team-building and collaborative experience through philanthropic work with several local and national organizations, including currently serving as an active member of the Junior League of Los Angeles.
 
DeMesme-Anders is a graduate of Tufts University, where she received a B.A. in Architectural Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership. She also studied Interior Design at UCLA Extension, and joined Taylor & Company in 2008.
   
 
Julia Gabrick
Account Coordinator

Julia Gabrick is involved in maintaining clientsí needs through planning and research, image preparation, press release distribution, press clippings, and social media programs.

Gabrick took a modern architecture class on a whim in college and hasnít looked at a building the same way since. She combines her writing background with research and editing skills she developed studying journalism.

Gabrick is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she received a B.A. in European Studies. She earned her M.A. in Journalism from USCís Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and interned at The Los Angeles Times before joining Taylor & Company in 2012.
   
 


Nina Bye
Office Manager

Nina Bye manages the daily workings of the office and provides clients with placements, publication copies, and reprints. Bye is a long-time office manager/executive assistant, who worked in the entertainment industry prior to joining Taylor & Company in 1999.
